Our Proven Leadership System Gets Results

Our Proven Leadership System helps managers and leaders get results through:
- A consistent focus on what drives the most value for the business
- Greater productivity, with more work done in less time
- Faster decision-making and action
- More physical and mental energy, and less stress
- Stronger leadership, getting more done with and through others
Our Leadership System includes three core phases: Discover, Design, and Deliver to help you move from awareness to action. This System helps you Discover gaps between where you are today and where you want to be, Design goals and strategies to help you close the gap, and take action to Deliver tangible results.
I. Discover
The Discover Phase reveals the specific outcomes and business results you want to achieve, how you may be standing in the way of your own success (both personally and professionally), and strengths that you can more powerfully put into play.
Many high performing women fall into the traps of perfectionism, not asking for help, and putting themselves last. Knowing this, we use a variety of tools and approaches to reveal your working style and approach, potential blind spots and barriers to success, what may be zapping your energy and productivity, and strengths you can leverage.
II. Design
In the Design Phase, we work together to redirect you from trying to “do it all” to focusing on what really drives business results. If you are familiar with the 80/20 rule, you know that 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts. So, the key is to determine how you have the biggest business impact and achieve what is most important to you personally. We work together to assess your current focus relative to what it should be, to achieve your desired outcomes.
In this phase, we also develop specific options, strategies, and action steps to achieve your coaching goals and help you anticipate and develop strategies to remove likely roadblocks.
III. Deliver
The Deliver Phase is all about implementing strategies and action steps, forming lasting habits, and celebrating successes. We work with you to take action and get results. We achieve this by consistently focusing on your desired outcomes, building in a mechanism for accountability, assessing what is and isn’t working, making adjustments as needed, and pinpointing the practices that are driving your successes.
How We Strengthen Leadership Skills
For skills that you need to develop, we use the following leadership competency model. Working from the bottom to the top of the model, we help you understand how the particular skill affects your leadership effectiveness, and how to build your competence in the skill to the point where it becomes second nature.
Unconscious Incompetence
At this stage, you are not aware of the relevance of the skill or of your lack of competence in the skill. Coaching, assessments, or feedback from others may surface the need to develop the skill. So, the goal of the coaching at this stage is to raise your level of awareness, moving from unconscious to conscious incompetence, so that you can begin to develop the new skill.
Conscious Incompetence
In this stage, you become aware of the existence and relevance of the skill, and your deficiency in it. You realize how improving in this area will increase your effectiveness. So, the focus of the coaching is to help you understand the extent of the deficiency and the level of skill required to demonstrate competence. Your commitment to develop the new skill is what will move you to ‘conscious competence.’
Conscious Competence
You achieve ‘conscious competence’ in a skill when you can perform it reliably at will – but it may still take focus and thought because it is not yet second nature. Although you should be able to demonstrate the skill to someone else, you may not be able to teach it well to them. The goal of the coaching in this stage is to help you continue to practice the new skill leading you to ‘unconscious competence.’
Unconscious Competence
In this final stage, you have practiced the skill so much that it becomes unconscious or second nature. You may be able to teach others the skill, although after being unconsciously competent you may have difficulty explaining exactly how you do it because the skill has become so instinctive.
